The history of KANEKOME TANAKASUISAN CO.,LTD. dates back to about 75 years ago when we began fishing with bottom trawlers.
Since then, we have been responsible for catching fish in the Sea of Okhotsk, processing them ourselves, and selling them ourselves, and have continued to make quality products.
When the company was first established, fishing in the Okhotsk Sea and around Abashiri was centered on fish species such as salmon, trout and cod.
In recent years, the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk has become an ideal environment for the growth of scallops.
Thanks to the establishment of aquaculture methods, it has become possible to sustainably manage and produce scallops. Scallops have now become a pillar of the company’s fishing production, with 300,000 tons produced every year.
Our company has also come to work hard on the manufacturing side along side production. Which is at the forefront of this region and opening up new markets around the world.
As we trade around the world, the value we hold most dear is “trust.”
