SCALLOP

frozen scallop muscle

Scallops are Japan’s number one seafood export.
{Export value in 2022: 91 billion yen, 23.5% Seafood export value: 387.3 billion yen}
One of the reasons why Japan’s frozen scallops have become so popular around the world is its excellent processing technology. The instant freezing technology allows the scallops to maintain a taste almost identical to that of raw scallops.
We have been exporting to the United States, the EU, and other countries around the world for over 20 years. Scallops from the Sea of Okhotsk have the best taste because they are supported by the nutrients carried by the drift ice.
They grow slowly in low-temperature seas, so the scallop is small, but their vitality is strong and the fibers (muscles) of the scallops are well-developed.
Abashiri scallops have a rich flavor that is carefully condensed into the meat.

In addition, scallops from the Sea of Okhotsk are MSC certified, a proof of sustainable and well-managed fishing that meets global standards.
Our factory is also MSC CoC certified, and while ensuring the traceability of certified seafood, we carefully peel each scallop by hand so as not to damage the adductor muscle.
Scallops can be used in a wide range of dishes, such as sashimi, carpaccio, butter-fried, fried, hot pot, and stewed dishes, so it is very convenient to stock up on them.
They improve the taste of dishes and make them even more delicious. Our products are manufactured based on thorough hygiene management and product safety management in strict EU HACCP-certified facilities. It is a product that has been proven to be of high quality by thoroughly following each process.

SALMON ROE

pickled salmon roe in soy sauce

Salmon are born in rivers, swim down to the sea, grow large, and then return to the river where they were born.
Immediately before going up to the river, they store nutrients in their muscles.
Taking advantage of our location close to the Sea of Okhotsk and Abashiri Port, we immediately remove eggs“Sujiko” from the fish that have just been caught in fixed nets on the foreshore.
The salmon roe is then processed into “pickled salmon roe in soy sauce’’ while maintaining its freshness.
Manufactured using an original seasoning, liquid blended in-house, that brings out the maximum flavor of eggs.
In order to preserve the freshness of freshly made products, we rapidly freeze them at -45°C with nitrogen gas.
Additionally, this product is manufactured based on HACCP methods.

SALMON

Salmon caught at Abashiri Port in Maehama are processed immediately after purchase and flash frozen to maintain freshness. Salmon caught in the Sea of Okhotsk is grown in cold waters, so its flesh is firm. It is also rich in nutrients, especially omega-3 fatty acids such as DHA and EPA.
